theres something messed up with my m/c worked fine the first few times i rode it this winter and now when i start it up it idles at like 4k and higher it engages it is idling so high. where do i start>?

air leak on the carb boots, plugged pilot jet, speed screw to high, and if it is carbed with flat slide the slides will leak air if they are worn or the air/fuel screws.

Check ur throttle cable and make sure the throttle body is returning back to an idle status, like as in hanging up due to a spring failure or cable failure. Is the ecm flashing any codes???? :beer;
stupid me i got it fixed now. i just put a 2.5 riser on it and that was enough to pull the throttle enuf just adjusted it and its good to go.
