So I took my old man's 04 Mountain Cat 600efi out for a boot today. It hasn't been ridden yet this season so it might just be from sitting all summer. Anyways, it ran fine but it seems at WOT it won't pull very hard. It sounds like its almost stumbling on the top end, kinda hard to describe. I had a hard time pulling 50mph on a hard pack road (according to speedo). RPMs are maxing out around 7800. Being a 600, shouldn't this thing pull a little more? Like around 8100?. What are you guys running for clutching around 2500-3000ft? I plan on running a few tanks of gas through it to see if it changes any. I have a feeling that part of the problem might be old gas.

Thanks guys!

I have the same sled we take for a spare. Above 9000 ft we use 47gr. weights, 50 gr. I believe for around 5000 ft. BTI is right, it should rev around 8500rpm if everything is stock. Maybe your powervalves aren't opening?
