Ski-Doo Updates 2020 Helmets, Goggles

For model year 2020 BRP is updating several Ski-Doo snowmobile helmets and goggles with features and colors customers have been requesting.

Advanced TEC XP-X

The XP-X helmet using the latest MFORGE lightweight composite construction was introduced in 2019 and this year adds a new Charcoal Grey color in the Advanced TEC model. The Advanced TEC is aimed squarely at the deep snow segment as it comes with the easy to attach FIDLOCK magnetic chin strap closure and no internal breath deflector for these hard working riders at higher altitudes.

Both the XP-X Advanced TEC and Team helmet models feature high comfort liners that are removable and washable with AGEIS antimicrobial treatment, eight vents for cooling and aerodynamic visors along with four-year limited warranties. But the reason most riders will want one is for their lightweight shell construction.

M-FORGE Composite technology is the new material of choice for premium helmets because of its light weight, high strength protection and affordability. Lighter helmets reduce stress and strain on muscles and an XP-X helmet with M-FORGE Composite is 20 percent lighter than carbon fiber helmet shells of the same design. It also provides better protection in cold temps than brittle carbon does and meets the most stringent standards in the industry, including DOT and ECE 22.05. M-FORGE Composite uses a thermoplastic matrix instead of conventional thermosets, so it behaves with increased ductility and tenacity. The advanced heat pressure construction process of M-FORGE Composite also keeps the price down while using no VOCs (Volatile Organic Compound) so the shell is 100 percent recyclable.

EX-2 Motion Electric Helmet

The Enduro EX-2 adds a couple new stable mates with the EX-2 Motion Electric helmet that bring new colors to the mix. These helmets combine many features with crisp styling for a helmet unlike anything else. The look is familiar to the adventure motorcycle world, but the heated dual lens shield gives it snow world credibility. Add to that the retractable tinted sunshade that’s interchangeable and what separates it from the pack becomes more apparent.

Other features snowmobilers will appreciate include an oversize air deflector on the chin, easy adjust air vents that can be completely closed on cold days and the aerodynamic visor that can be easily removed or reattached.
